These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the keyworks.us website and our mail-in ECU repair services. By placing an order or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Overview

KEYWORKS provides diagnostic and repair services for automotive electronic control units. All repairs are done on a mail-in basis: customers ship their ECUs to us, and we repair and return them.

We reserve the right to refuse service at our discretion.

2. Customer Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

Shipping your ECU safely to us
Providing accurate information about the unit and vehicle

KEYWORKS is not responsible for ECUs lost or damaged in transit to us. We strongly recommend using a tracked and insured shipping method.

3. Diagnosis and Repair

Every ECU is tested and diagnosed upon arrival using high-quality components and a combination of advanced aftermarket and OEM-level diagnostic tools. All completed repairs include thorough bench testing and are resealed before being shipped back.

4. Refund & Return Policy

Because our work involves dedicated bench testing, labor, and return shipping logistics, refunds are calculated based on the diagnostic results of your module:

Module Tests Good (No Faults Found): If your unit passes all testing and no faults are found related to the reported issue, a full repair is not needed. You will receive a partial refund equal to your total payment minus our bench testing fee ($80–$125 depending on module), return shipping, and processing fees. The bench fee covers our professional testing time, equipment usage, and diagnostic labor.
Faulty & Non-Repairable Modules: If your module is tested, confirmed faulty, but deemed unrepairable (e.g., severe burn or heavy liquid damage), we will issue a full refund for the service. As a courtesy, the bench testing fee is waived; only non-refundable processing and return shipping costs apply if you choose to have the unit returned.
Successfully Repaired Modules: Completed repair services are final and non-refundable once the unit has been repaired and shipped back, but are fully protected by our Lifetime Limited Warranty (see Section 7).

5. Turnaround Time

Typical turnaround is 2–5 business days from the time we receive your ECU.
Shipping times vary depending on carrier and customer location.

6. Payments

All payments must be made in full at the time of service request via our website. We accept major credit/debit cards using third-party payment processors (e.g., Square, PayPal).

Prices are flat-rate unless otherwise noted. We do not charge hidden fees.

7. Warranty

All repairs are backed by a lifetime limited warranty covering workmanship and replaced components.
Warranty does not cover:

Damage from improper installation
External damage (e.g., water, fire, impact)
Issues unrelated to the original repair

8. Limitation of Liability

KEYWORKS is not liable for:

Any damages resulting from ECU failure before, during, or after repair
Vehicle downtime, labor costs, towing, or other incidental expenses
ECUs lost or damaged in transit (to or from our facility) if not covered by insurance

Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the repair service.

9. Intellectual Property

All website content, including text, graphics, logos, and service descriptions, are the property of KEYWORKS.US and may not be copied or reused without permission.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on our website. Continued use of our services after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Cancellations and Non-Refundable Fees

All canceled orders are subject to non-refundable fees due to shipping costs and payment processing charges that are outside of our control.

Cancellations before we receive your electronics: 3%–5% payment processing fee
Cancellations after we receive your electronics: 3%–5% payment processing fee + return shipping
(+ bench fee if testing was completed)
